Drying and Pelletizing Equipment
Disc Pelletizer
The disc pelletizer agglomerates fine ore powders into uniform green pellets by rotating an inclined disc while adding water or binder. It receives filter cake or concentrate from upstream dewatering and produces pellets ready for downstream drying or induration.
Technical parameters
Positioned between dewatering and drying, the disc pelletizer lets operators control pellet size via disc angle, speed, and feed point. It handles a range of feed moistures and responds quickly to process shifts.
The model table lists seventeen standard disc pelletizers, identified by the PQ prefix and a nominal diameter code. As model numbers rise, disc diameter, height, motor power and weight increase for higher throughput. Inclination and speed adjust accordingly. Select a model by matching required feed rate and pellet size to disc diameter and drive power.

Standard-model catalogue figures. Actual capacity, power draw and wear life shift with ore properties, feed gradation and circuit conditions. Use them to shortlist, then confirm the duty by testwork, flowsheet calculation and a written confirmation from the manufacturer.
What decides the selection
Before selecting a specific model, determine the feed material’s particle size, moisture content, and binder requirements. Specify the target green pellet size range and the required hourly throughput. Also confirm available floor space and the feeding and discharge arrangements in your plant layout. These factors fix the disc diameter, drive power, and inclination needed.
