Banana Screen
A banana screen is a vibrating screen with multiple deck sections set at decreasing inclination angles. The slope difference accelerates material at the feed end and slows it near the discharge, improving screen utilisation and separation sharpness.
Technical parameters
In a comminution circuit, the banana screen typically serves as a high-capacity classification unit. It can be placed after a primary crusher to scalp coarse oversize, or ahead of a grinding mill to remove fines.
