Non-Metallic Mineral Processing Equipment
Desliming Bucket
The desliming bucket is a gravity settling unit that removes fine slimes from non-metallic mineral slurries. It typically sits after scrubbing or grinding and ahead of magnetic separation or flotation circuits, where slimes would otherwise degrade performance.
Technical parameters
Unlike a hindered settler, the bucket relies on simple hindered settling with a lower sharpness of cut. It suits duties where a robust, low-maintenance device is needed for high-volume slimes rejection.
The TND-series table lists settling area, volume, classification size, feed particle size, discharge concentration, and desliming efficiency. Settling area increases with model size, dictating throughput. Match classification size and feed particle size to your cut point. Verify discharge concentration against the downstream water balance.

Standard-model catalogue figures. Actual capacity, power draw and wear life shift with ore properties, feed gradation and circuit conditions. Use them to shortlist, then confirm the duty by testwork, flowsheet calculation and a written confirmation from the manufacturer.
What decides the selection
Before selecting a model, define your feed slurry’s particle size distribution, solids concentration, and the proportion of minus‑10‑micron fines you need to reject. Determine the target classification size and the slurry volumetric throughput. Laboratory settling tests on a representative sample will confirm the required settling area and predict desliming efficiency.
