Hammer Crusher
The Xinhai PC hammer crusher uses impact fracture: rotating hammers strike feed entering the chamber, and shattered particles exit through a bottom grate. It typically follows a jaw or gyratory crusher in a two-stage circuit, receiving pre-crushed material. For smaller feed sizes it can operate as a single-stage unit.
Technical parameters
Hammer crushers suit medium-hard, moderately abrasive ores (limestone, gypsum, coal). Hard siliceous feed accelerates wear. Replaceable liners and high-manganese hammers prolong service life.
The PC hammer crusher range scales feed opening, rotor diameter, and grate area to match feed size and throughput targets. Larger models accept coarser feed and deliver higher capacity at increased motor power. Selection starts with the largest particle size the crusher will receive and the required product top-size from the grate.

What decides the selection
Before specifying a PC hammer crusher, define the maximum feed particle size (F80), target product size (P80), ore hardness and abrasivity, moisture content, and required throughput. These inputs determine the appropriate rotor diameter, grate opening, and motor size. A test programme on a representative sample is recommended to confirm duty and wear life.
