Filtration Equipment
Vertical Filter Press
A vertical filter press dewaters mineral concentrate and tailings slurries by pressing the slurry between filter plates. It sits downstream of the thickener in a dewatering circuit, delivering a compact filter cake suitable for transport, stacking or downstream processing.
Technical parameters
Unlike vacuum filters, it can operate at higher pressure differentials, handling fine and ultrafine solids. The vertical plate stack reduces footprint, and the enclosed design contains vapour and spray.
The specification table lists 24 LYL models with a range of filter areas and chamber counts, along with overall dimensions and weight. As filter area increases, the number of filter chambers typically rises, providing a proportional gain in filtration capacity. Engineers should match the required dry solids output to the nearest model, leaving headroom for cycle-time variations.

Standard-model catalogue figures. Actual capacity, power draw and wear life shift with ore properties, feed gradation and circuit conditions. Use them to shortlist, then confirm the duty by testwork, flowsheet calculation and a written confirmation from the manufacturer.
What decides the selection
Before fixing a model, define the feed slurry solids concentration, target cake moisture, and required dry solids throughput. Because filtration behaviour varies with ore type, particle size distribution and slurry chemistry, a filter test on representative samples is essential to confirm cycle time and cloth life for the specific duty.
